Asher Sorrengail, born Asher Daxton, was the husband of General Lilith Sorrengail and father to Brennan, Mira, and Violet. He served in the Scribe Quadrant, rising to Lieutenant Colonel.

Lilith Sorrengail was the commanding General of Basgiath War College in Fourth Wing. She was bonded with the brown dragon Aimsir and wielded the signet of Storm Wielding. Mother to Violet, Mira, and Brennan Sorrengail, she was noted for her strict leadership and emphasis on duty.

Liam Mairi is a rider in Fourth Wing and a marked child of the Tyrrish Rebellion. He is the older brother of Sloane Mairi and the foster brother of Xaden Riorson, with whom he shared a close bond.

Queen Maraya was the ruler of Poromiel, remembered for her independence in refusing marriage alliances and naming her cousin, Viscount Tecarus, as heir.

Queen Marlis rules the Isle of Unnbriel, an isle kingdom dedicated to the goddess Dunne.

Faris is the second member of the Triumvirate of Hedotis. He is married to Talia Riorson, with whom he has two sons, Simeon and Gaius.

Talia Riorson is the mother of Xaden Riorson, originally from Hedotis. Bound by a contract marriage to Fen Riorson, she bore Xaden and left once her obligation ended. She returned to Hedotis and remarried Faris.

Halden Tauri is the Crown Prince of Navarre, first appearing in Onyx Storm as Violet Sorrengail’s former love interest.

Tecarus was the Viscount of Krovla and, after Queen Maraya’s death, became King of Poromiel. A distant cousin of Maraya, he inherited the throne despite lacking direct heirs. With his rare gryphon gift to perceive desire, Tecarus becomes a key political figure in the fragile balance between the rebellion, Navarrien rule, and Deverelli.
