Location
Nightfell is a location in Stormside and the home of Aris Agron during the years before the Questral. Stellan brings Aris there after finding her in the ruins of her destroyed village in Silverside. She later lives with him in Nightfell, where he works as a blacksmith and trains her in weaponsmithing and combat.
Description
Nightfell plays an important role in Aris’s life before she enters Starside. Stellan gives her a home there after the loss of her family and teaches her the skills that later help her survive the Questral.
The location also becomes closely connected to the beginning of the Questral. Nightfell hosts the selection for the Culling, where potential challengers compete for the chance to continue toward the gates to Starside.
Relevance
Nightfell marks both a new beginning for Aris Agron and the starting point of her journey into the Questral. After Stellan finds her in Silverside, he takes her to Nightfell and raises her there while teaching her to forge and use weapons. Years later, Aris takes part in the Culling selection held in Nightfell. Shortly before the Culling, she finds Stellan mortally wounded. His final instruction sends her looking for Vander Evren once she enters Starside.
