Biography
Talia Riorson is originally from the kingdom of Hedotis and worships Hedeon, the god of wisdom. As a young woman, she entered a marriage contract with Fen Riorson to produce an heir for Tyrrendor. Their son, Xaden, was born under this contract. By law, she was bound to the Riorson family until Xaden turned ten. On Xaden’s tenth birthday (March 621 AU), she fulfilled the contract and left in the night.
Some years later, Talia relocated to Hedotis, married a man named Faris, and had two more sons: Simeon and Gaius. In Onyx Storm, when Xaden’s quest squad arrives on Hedotis, she plays host—greeting the group and interacting with Violet Sorrengail. During a dinner at her home with Faris and others, political tensions escalate; she is drawn into a conflict surrounding betrayal via poisoned cake and tea, which upends what was meant to be a peaceful meeting.
Physical Description
Talia is described as tall and regal, with long black hair, dark brown eyes flecked with gold, high cheekbones, long lashes, and ears shaped similarly to those of her son Xaden.
Relationships
| Xaden Riorson | Xaden is Talia’s firstborn son from her marriage to Fen Riorson. During his childhood, she cared for him tenderly — reading him bedtime stories and baking chocolate cake for his birthdays. When Xaden turned ten and her marriage contract ended, she left without a word and never contacted him again. Years later, they reunite by chance when Xaden visits her home on Hedotis, but despite her attempts to reconnect, he rejects her efforts. |
|---|---|
| Fen Riorson | Talia was married to Fen Riorson under a strategic contract that required her to produce an heir. The marriage lasted at least eleven years, but it was not affectionate, and the two did not get along. Once her contractual obligation was complete, she left the marriage immediately. |
| Faris | Later, Talia married Faris, the second member of the Triumvirate on Hedotis. Together, they have two sons, Simeon and Gaius. Their relationship appears more stable than her first, but there is no evidence that it is a marriage built on love. |
