Biography
Queen Marlis rules over the Isle of Unnbriel, a major Isle devoted to worshipping the goddess Dunne (the goddess of war). When Violet Sorrengail’s quest squad arrives on Unnbriel in Onyx Storm, Marlis fights Violet in single combat, showing strength and cunning. After Violet lands a shocking lightning strike, Marlis yields and grants Violet an audience. During their negotiation, she confirms that Unnbriel has had no fire-breathers for centuries.
Marlis asks Violet for an alliance and reveals that if the squad brings her twelve dragon eggs (two from each breed), she will send her army to aid the Continent.
Physical Description
Queen Marlis is tall (comparable to Sawyer or Dain), with short flaxen hair, muscled arms, and significantly stronger build—“ten inches and fifty pounds of muscle more than Violet.” She wears a silver uniform with a chest plate (that leaves her ribs exposed) during formal engagements.
