Biography
Professor Grady was a captain in the Navarrian military and an instructor at Basgiath War College. He taught the Rider Survival Course (RSC), which trained second-years in survival, navigation, and resisting interrogation when separated from their dragons. In Iron Flame, he oversaw Violet Sorrengail’s first land navigation exercise, giving her squad waterskins that temporarily cut their bonds. Strict but practical, he occasionally showed fairness—like binding Violet’s hands in front instead of behind because of her injury.
In Onyx Storm, Captain Grady led the task force sent to Anca to locate the citrine, chosen for his extensive experience behind enemy lines. However, the mission ended fatally for him when Aura Beinhaven set him on fire with her fire Signet, killing him.
