Biography
Liam Mairi, born in 613 AU, is the son of Isaac Mairi and Colonel Mairi. Liam Mairi, born in 613 AU, is the son of Isaac Mairi and Colonel Mairi. After his parents’ deaths during the Tyrrish Rebellion, he was fostered by Duke Lindell in Tirvainne with Xaden Riorson. At Basgiath, Liam entered the Riders Quadrant in the same year as Violet Sorrengail. He distinguished himself early—finishing the Gauntlet fastest among his year, winning assessment day challenges, and bonding with Deigh, a red dagger-tail dragon, during Threshing.
As a marked child, Liam Mairi bore a rebellion relic that covered his arm, given by his mother as protection during the executions of rebellion leaders. He was assigned to Second Squad, Tail Section, Fourth Wing. Liam watched over Violet, particularly after a threat from Amber Mavis, and stood by her during Archives Duty and in the chaos of squad battles. He used his signet Farsight to detect Venin in the fog near Resson, and revealed a second signet—Ice Wielding—during that battle as well. When Deigh died during the Venin attack, Liam died shortly after, his life bound to his dragon.

Farsight: Liam’s primary signet, allowing him to see vast distances with extreme clarity, even through obstacles such as fog. His pupils dilated whenever he used this ability. He demonstrated its effectiveness during Fourth Wing by detecting venin hidden within the mist.
Ice Wielding: Liam’s hidden second signet, inherited through Deigh’s previous bond with one of his ancestors. This rare ability allowed him to summon and manipulate ice, revealed only during the Battle of Resson.

Their bond ended during the Battle of Resson when Deigh was killed, which led to Liam’s own death as a result of the rider–dragon connection.
