Biography
Drake Cordella is a gryphon flier from Poromiel, cousin to Syrena and Catriona Cordella. Captain of the Nightwing Drift, he was involved in bringing down the wards during the Montserrat Offensive — an action that causes conflict with Mira Sorrengail when they meet again, as she physically retaliates over the risk it posed to Violet.
In Iron Flame, Drake authors Venin, A Compendium, a detailed work on dark wielders. He’s stationed on the Braevick border, on the front lines, and works in gryphon drift operations. In Onyx Storm, Drake is selected for the quest squad with Violet and the others. He participates in missions to Deverelli and Hedotis, and is involved in conflicts over flight formation strategy (arguing with Mira). When Trager Karis dies, Drake helps restrain Catriona and later honors Trager’s death by speaking over his body.
