Biography
Solas was an orange daggertail dragon bonded to Major Burton Varrish. Feared for his cruelty, he became infamous during Conscription Day when he incinerated a first-year cadet attempting to flee, as well as several bonded riders from Fourth Wing. His brutality drew the fury of Tairneanach, who intervened and took one of Solas’s eyes in battle. Despite being half Tairn’s size, Solas continued to use intimidation and aggression to dominate others. His reign of violence came to an end when Andarna killed him.
Physical Description
- A scarred orange daggertail, about half the size of Tairneanach.
- Missing one eye, with sharp, serpentine movements.
Powers and Abilities
Like other dragons, Solas could breathe fire and wield his daggertail, talons, and fangs in combat. However, his missing eye limited his vision. Through Solas, Burton Varrish manifested the signet of weakness reading, which allowed him to exploit vulnerabilities in others.
