Ridoc Gamlyn is a dragon rider in the Riders Quadrant at Basgiath War College and one of Violet Sorrengail’s closest friends. Bonded to the brown Swordtail dragon Aotrom, he wields the signet of ice wielding. Known for his sharp humor, loyalty, and quick instincts, Ridoc often lightens the mood while proving himself in dangerous moments. Across the Empyrean series, he grows from the squad’s comic relief into a dependable rider and key ally of the Revolution.

Sawyer Henrick is a rider from Luceras, bonded with the red Swordtail dragon Sliseag. After failing to bond in his first Threshing and repeating a year, he befriends Violet Sorrengail and becomes a loyal ally and later Executive Officer of Iron Squad.
