Kaine Ferron is one of the central protagonists of Alchemised. The heir to the Ferron iron guild and later High Reeve of the Undying, Kaine operates as both architect and weapon within the war that destroys Paladia. Much of the narrative explores his covert defection, moral compromises, and the consequences of survival under necromantic rule.

Soren Bayard is a paladin of the Order of the Eternal Flame and the twin brother of Lila Bayard. Trained as a double-track combat alchemist, he is regarded as an excellent fighter and remains fiercely protective of his sister.

Jan Crowther is a red-flame pyromancer of the Order of the Eternal Flame, orphaned by necromancy and later elevated to its Council. During the war, he negotiates with Kaine Ferron, oversees sanctioned interactions with Helena Marino, and participates in prisoner interrogations. After the war, his body is inhabited by Atreus Ferron as a lich.

Aurelia Ferron is Kaine Ferron’s wife and a rare iron transmuter whose marriage is arranged in childhood to secure guild influence. Raised under extreme familial pressure, she becomes Lady of the Ferron house.

Ilva Holdfast is Luc Holdfast’s great-aunt and steward, a non-alchemist whose authority derives from political experience and administrative governance rather than alchemical resonance.

Luc Holdfast is the Principate of the Order of the Eternal Flame, elevated to leadership at the age of sixteen following the murder of his father by Kaine Ferron.

Shiseo is a metallurgist from the Eastern Empire who seeks political asylum in Paladia. Working as Helena Marino’s laboratory assistant, he plays a key role in identifying nullium and developing methods of resonance suppression.

Irmgard Stroud is a medical doctor and vivimancer active in Paladia after the war. She oversees Helena Marino’s recovery from containment and later leads the Central science and alchemy department, where she implements a sponsored birth program involving abuse and experimentation.

Sebastian Bayard is a paladin of the Order of the Eternal Flame and the uncle of Lila and Soren Bayard. He serves as Paladin Primary to Principate Apollo Holdfast and is later placed in reserve after being absent at the time of Apollo’s murder.
