Biography / History
Varian is a High Fae prince of the Summer Court and the son of Princess Cresseida and the late High Lord Nostrus. During his years in the Summer Court, he served as captain of Tarquin’s guard and previously commanded Nostrus’s fleet alongside Tarquin.
Appearance
Varian is broad-shouldered and striking in appearance, with the Summer Court’s characteristic dark skin and shining white hair, marking him as unmistakably High Fae of the Summer lands.

Amren does not discourage his attention and often meets his looks with her own, creating a tense and charged dynamic between them.Despite Tarquin declaring a blood feud against the Night Court after the theft of the Book of Breathings, Varian does not direct any hostility toward Amren. Instead, he sends her a necklace of diamonds and rubies—a gesture that softens the blow of the feud and reveals his growing affection.During the war with Hybern, Varian secretly warns Amren of an attack on the Summer Court, prompting the Night Court to send aid. Later, after the battle in the Winter Court, Varian openly kisses Amren and takes her to his tent, marking the beginning of their physical relationship. Amren later admits she may feel something like love for him.In the final battle, Varian pleads with Amren not to unleash her true form, knowing the cost—but she chooses to sacrifice herself for the greater good, leaving him devastated. When the Cauldron is reforged, Amren emerges reborn as High Fae, and the two formally begin a relationship. |
