A Court of Wings and Ruin
The King of Hybern keeps several naga-hounds within his war camp during the war in Prythian. Feyre Archeron observes that these creatures appear to be related to the naga, which is why they are referred to as naga-hounds.
When Feyre and Azriel infiltrate Hybern’s camp in order to rescue Elain Archeron, the naga-hounds are unleashed to hunt them down. During the confrontation, one of the creatures severely damages Azriel’s wings. Another naga-hound later clashes with Tamlin while he is in his beast form as he protects Feyre.
Later in the war, after the King of Hybern kills Stryga—the Weaver—he throws her body to the naga-hounds, which immediately tear it apart and devour it.
Appearance
Naga-hounds have a monstrous, reptilian appearance with bodies covered in dark scales. They move on all fours like hunting beasts and possess powerful limbs tipped with shredding talons.
Their heads resemble those of serpents, with elongated jaws filled with rows of sharp white teeth capable of tearing through bone.
