A Court of Thorns and Roses
Four Naga emerge in the Western Woods of the Spring Court after detecting Feyre Archeron’s scent and hearing the cry of the Suriel, which she had trapped using a snare baited with a dead chicken. While captured, the Suriel reveals key information about Tamlin—specifically that he is the High Lord of the Spring Court—and begins to speak about the curse affecting Prythian. Before it can finish, the Naga ambush the clearing.
Feyre releases the Suriel from the snare, allowing it to escape, and flees toward the nearby stream and back toward Tamlin’s manor. She manages to kill two of the Naga, but a third overpowers her. Her scream alerts Tamlin, who arrives in his beast form and kills the remaining attackers. He explains that he had been tracking the Naga when he heard her cry for help.
A Court of Wings and Ruin
Later, Naga infiltrate Tamlin’s manor when a missing set of manor keys enables them to enter the grounds. Through Feyre’s magic, it is revealed that the Spring Court sentry on duty had been magically put to sleep by Ianthe, who stole the keys and deliberately unleashed the faeries to draw attention to herself following the Solstice incident, during which Feyre publicly outshone her.
Appearance
Naga are faeries with serpentine traits fused to a male humanoid form, giving them a nightmarish, predatory appearance. Their bodies are entirely covered in dark, glossy scales, and they possess powerful, muscular arms ending in polished black talons capable of shredding flesh with ease.
Their faces combine reptilian and humanoid features: large almond-shaped amber eyes, razor-sharp teeth, and a silver, forked tongue. Together, these elements give the naga a sleek, lethal silhouette designed for hunting and terrorizing prey.
