Biography
Cuir is a green swordtail dragon bonded to Bodhi Durran in Rebecca Yarros’s Empyrean series. He is first mentioned in Fourth Wing during the Battle of Resson, where Violet Sorrengail’s lightning allows him to kill a wyvern by snapping its neck.
In Iron Flame, Cuir advises Bodhi to care for Violet when she nears burnout.
By Onyx Storm, he fights alongside Bodhi throughout the war against the venin. During the confrontation with Theophanie at the Cliffs of Dralor, Cuir rescues Bodhi from the tornado’s winds but returns to the battle instead of fleeing. In the fighting, he sustains a torn wing and a deep chest wound that leaves permanent scars.
