Biography
Nadine is a rider cadet in the Empyrean series. She was born in a northern village on the border of Deaconshire and Tyrrendor.
After Threshing in Fourth Wing, Nadine joins Violet Sorrengail’s squad when squads are condensed. She shows bias against marked riders, but agrees to let Imogen Cardulo lead the squad during the final Squad Battle task. Nadine’s signet allows her to unweave wards, which she uses to help break into General Sorrengail’s office during Squad Battle. She later attends the Reunification Day celebration with Violet and Rhiannon Matthias.
In Iron Flame, Nadine is one of five surviving members of Iron Squad at the end of the first year. After graduation, she drinks with the squad and talks about looking forward to having no more chore duty as a second-year. She asks about the Battle of Resson and slips on the steps two nights before Parapet, spraining her hand, which is braced and wrapped. She is on the tower with Violet, Rhiannon, and Dain Aetos during Parapet. After Solas breathes fire over the squad, she points out that Violet’s back is scorched.
On Assessment Day, Nadine pretends to be Violet when a first-year student overhears the name and is killed by the assassin targeting Violet.

Nadine dyes her hair purple on the night of graduation at the end of her first year.

Lesser Magic
Through her bond with her dragon, Nadine can use lesser magic. This includes manipulating mage lights, moving with enhanced speed, and interacting with doors and runes.

Unweaving Wards: Nadine’s signet allows her to unweave wards. She uses this ability to dismantle the wards protecting General Sorrengail’s office.
