Biography / History
The Seraphim are the winged warriors of Prince Drakon, distantly related to the Peregryns and often viewed as the counterparts of the Illyrians in both skill and martial culture. They reside on the hidden island of Cretea, concealed from the world by powerful wards. Seraphim weaponry reflects their aerial precision: their blades are slimmer and lighter than Illyrian steel, with some featuring elegantly curved tips.
A Court of Wings and Ruin
As war with Hybern loomed, Rhysand sent Azriel to seek aid from Miryam and Drakon, hoping to secure their support and the strength of the seraphim legions. When Azriel reached their island, Cretea, he found only desolate ruins—seemingly abandoned after rumors spread that Jurian was hunting Miryam.
However, during the final battle against Hybern, Miryam and Drakon emerged at the crucial moment with the seraphim and a mortal army at their backs. The truth was revealed: the “ruins” on Cretea had been nothing more than an elaborate protective illusion. Their wards had been so effective that they had hidden the island not only from enemies but also from allies.
Safe throughout the conflict, Miryam and Drakon arrived with overwhelming reinforcements, providing the decisive military strength needed for the united courts of Prythian to defeat Hybern.
