Biography / History
Early Life & Fall from Wealth
Dagdan and Brannagh arrive in the Spring Court at the beginning of A Court of Wings and Ruin, accompanied by Jurian, as Hybern’s official envoys. Welcomed by Tamlin, they reside in his manor during their mission. The twins are intensely close, and Feyre Archeron notes their unsettling, almost intimate dynamic. They immediately begin probing the minds of Tamlin, Lucien Vanserra, and Feyre during a meal, but Feyre uses her own magic to shield all three from the intrusion.
During an inspection of the Wall with Feyre, Lucien, and Jurian, Dagdan and Brannagh encounter a group of Children of the Blessed. They attempt to use their power to capture and harm the mortals, but Feyre intervenes and shields the humans long enough for them to escape. Later that night, however, the twins hunt the mortals down and kill them. In response, Feyre and Lucien lure the Bogge to the twins’ campsite as retaliation.
Near the midpoint of the book, after Feyre rescues Lucien from Ianthe, the twins ambush them and try to take Feyre as a prisoner to Hybern. Although Feyre’s powers are weakened by faebane slipped into an apple—poison orchestrated by the twins themselves—she and Lucien fight back. Together, they manage to defeat and kill both Dagdan and Brannagh, ending the twins’ campaign in the Spring Court.

Dagdan is a skilled Daemati, capable of entering, manipulating, and attacking another person’s mind. He uses this power to attempt to infiltrate the thoughts of Tamlin, Lucien, and Feyre while visiting the Spring Court, and later to mentally overwhelm mortals at the Wall.
Winnowing
Dagdan is able to winnow, allowing him to move through space instantly. He uses this power alongside his sister Brannagh during their operations on Prythian territory.
