A Court of Thorns and Roses
While visiting the village market to sell her latest catch, Feyre parts ways with her sisters and approaches a female mercenary to trade pelts. During their conversation, the mercenary recounts a brutal attack in the North, where a pack of martax descended on a village in the dead of night and tore half of it apart.
Appearance
Martax possess massive, bear-sized bodies paired with a lion-like head and three rows of razor-sharp teeth, each sharper than a shark’s. Their imposing physical structure makes them one of the more fearsome predators prowling Prythian.
Martax are exceptionally aggressive predators, described as more dangerous than a bear, lion, and shark combined. They are known for their ferocity and their tendency to tear their prey apart with brutal efficiency.
