Biography / History
Long before Feyre Archeron entered Prythian, Clotho was brutally assaulted by a group of males who mutilated her to ensure her silence. They cut out her tongue and crushed her hand, repeatedly healing and re-injuring her to make the damage permanent.
Morrigan later found Clotho and brought her to Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court. Rhys permitted Mor to hunt down the attackers, and Mor stayed in the library to help Clotho recover. Although some healing was possible, the injuries to her hand remained largely permanent, and Clotho has been unable to speak ever since.
Appearance
Clotho is described as slim and robed in pale garments, often with a hood and a crown of clear blue stones marking her status as a High Priestess. Her hands remain permanently damaged from past torture—her bones twisted and misshapen, her fingers set at unnatural angles.
Powers & Abilities
Clotho possesses magic typical of High Priestesses, which she primarily channels through spellwork and telekinetic control. Because her hands were permanently damaged, she uses her magic to lift, move, and organize books throughout the library. She also uses her power to write and communicate, spelling out words on paper in place of speech. Her magic allows her to carry out her priestess duties despite her physical injuries.
