Biography / History
Lanthys was considered one of the rare true immortals in Prythian. Before his imprisonment, he possessed immense power—comparable to that of the old god Koschei.
A Court of Silver Flames
After retrieving the Harp in the Prison, Nesta and Cassian move through the warded passages—and come upon Lanthys, an ancient immortal trapped there. During the fight, he wounds Cassian, pushing Nesta to intervene.
Nesta summons her Made sword, Ataraxia, and kills Lanthys, ending the threat so she and Cassian can escape the Prison with the Harp.
Appearance
Lanthys most often manifested as mist, avoiding a solid form because it left him more vulnerable. When he did take physical shape, he appeared as a male of average height with golden skin and golden hair—a strikingly beautiful exterior that sharply contrasted with his cruel nature. Despite his appealing appearance, his laugh betrayed him; it was harsh and grating, reminiscent of a crow’s caw.
